ENDV 202 INTRODUCTION TO ENVIRONMENTAL SUSTAINABILITY II (2,1,3)
This course is biased towards the applied aspects of the ENDV 201; this looks at the dimensions and implementation of the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) that provides a system for organizations to publish their sustainability performance; The essence of the “Tragedy of the Commons” under capitalist resources exploitation; The use of the environmental sustainability indices and their implications for environmental management will also be explored.
 
ENDV 204 INTRODUCTION TO RURAL AND URBAN DEVELOPMENT II (3,1,3)
This course focuses on the need for rural development. It will introduce students to rural-urban contrast/imbalance, migration, especially rural urban migration and its implication in rural, urbanisation and development. Differences in socio-economic amenities in rural and urban areas and the systems approach to understanding rural problems and development. It will integrate rural development and the role and constraints of culture in development in Ghana. The role of science and technology and the rural and urban environment will also be examined.    
 
ENDV 206 PRACTICAL ISSUES IN DEVELOPMENT (3,1,3)
This course will conclude the debates in ‘political ecology’, political approaches to sustainable development, such as common-property regimes, community-based natural resource management, environmental policy and the state, and the role of social movements. The subject matter of the course will be issues such as population growth, resource scarcity, ‘natural’ hazards, deforestation, soil erosion, desertification, etc., and ways of managing these alongside local governances.
 
ENDV 208 INTRODUCTION TO CLIMATE CHANGE AND SOCIETY (3,1,3)
This course would treat the essential of climatology and climate change from human society perspectives. In recent years climate change has become a global phenomenon, with development dimensions. A course as this is expected to examine the dynamics of the local to global climates and their implications for development. Some of the specific topics to be treated are what are climate and climate variability and change? What are the causes of the changes and study climate change, climate variability, and the societal implications and local national and global institutional efforts are addressing this socio-environmental scourge? 
 
ENDV 210 TOOLS FOR ENVIRONMENTAL MANAGEMENT II (3,1,3)
This course is designed to explore ethical rules and constraints, to provide students with an understanding of the standards of professional responsibility. This course provide an overview of the theory and practice Environmental Management Systems (EMS) and Environmental Compliance Auditing (ECA) procedures as well as their ISO certifications. These discourses will be done with special reference to Ghana and Africa.
 
ENGL 256 LITERATURE IN ENGLISH II (FICTION) (2,1,2)
This course has as its main components the study of folktales, short stories and the novel.  African and westerns texts representative of this genre shall be used to illustrate the language, themes, and the literary devices employed for these different types of fictional expressions.
